We are looking for dedicated, customer focused individuals to join us on our mission to introduce vape and oral nicotine products to our customers as we open stores across the UK. As a Retail Store Assistant, you'll play a pivotal role in our stores' success. Your primary focus will involve engaging in great conversations with our customers, providing them with informed guidance, and ensuring they find the right solutions based on their needs. Sound good? Join us and contribute to shaping the industry's future Key responsibilities: Drive sales and product awareness by utilising your strong understanding of vaping products including devices, brands and flavours Conduct consultations with customers to understand their current smoking or vaping habits, preferences, and goals. Recommend appropriate vaping products based on individual customer needs, offering personalised advice on devices, e-liquids, and accessories. Meet and exceed sales targets, driving revenue by upselling and cross-selling products such as accessories, e-liquids and bundles. Uphold and ensure adherence to industry regulations, such as age verification and Challenge 25, to maintain a compliant and responsible selling environment. Contribute to the cleanliness and overall maintenance of the store, including cleaning duties and ensuring a hygienic environment for customers. Collaborate with the store team, providing support in various operational aspects, ensuring a smooth and efficient retail environment. Handle transactions efficiently, including processing payments and operating the point-of-sale (POS) system. Cashing up duties: Accurately count and reconcile the cash drawer at the end of each shift Assist with inventory management, including receiving, unpacking, organising new stock and stock counts. Provide additional support where needed to ensure the smooth functioning of the store. Our ideal Retail Store Assistant… We appreciate that you may not have all the attributes listed below, however if you feel you can adapt, learn, and play your part please still apply Proven experience working in sales or customer service roles is advantageous, especially if within the vaping industry. Flexibility to work across our two site locations in Sunderland and Chester-le Street as required. Driving license and access to a vehicle is essential for travel between our two stores. Strong verbal communication to effectively engage with customers. Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset, aiming to always provide exceptional service. A positive and approachable demeaner that contributes to a welcoming store atmosphere. Flexibility to work various shifts throughout the week, including weekends and bank holidays, to meet the needs of our business. What do we offer?
