The Penicuik Community Development Trust requires a volunteer Treasurer who will also be a Board member of the Trust. The Trust is a registered charity and company.
We currently have 7 project teams who run the Paper Making Heritage Centre, a Heritage Trail, Sunday Cinema, Saturday Open House, ReCycles Penicuik, the Community Garden, PLoTs - a Tool Library and the Pen-y-Coe Press, a stationery shop and paper and print centre.
The Treasurer’s main tasks are to maintain an overview of financial data entry into the accounting package (MyFunding Accounting Online) and provide summarised updates at intervals required for Board meetings, which take place approximately every 6 weeks, the AGM in August, and the Annual Report and Accounts submitted to OSCR and Companies House by April. Data entry to the accounting package is carried out by the project teams who also contribute the text element of the annual report. The Treasurer will also lead on our tax return, currently nil.
