The IDP directorate oversees the development, implementation, and support of all digital, data and information technology aspects within the affiliate. Working in partnership with the business to introduce, innovate and apply digital technology in order to deliver productivity gains and competitive advantage whilst aligning with Company IS, TL\DataTech and Digital strategy and priorities.
Cybersecurity is a fast-moving area as technologies and threats evolve and has been identified in the top 5 business risks within the Company, the most critical of these risks having a potential impact of over £500M. The job holders helps to preserve the Company’s value and reputation by protecting the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of its information against loss from damage to or degradation of Information Systems (both enterprise and Industrial), loss or inaccuracy of information, unauthorized disclosure of information, and unauthorized use of Information Systems (both enterprise and Industrial), breaches of legislation or regulations, and breaches of contractual obligations.

Do you have a passion for defending the digital frontier? TEPUK is on the hunt for a dynamic Cyber Security Engineer to join our team and become a key player in safeguarding our critical assets. Your mission, should you choose to accept it: identify, control, and neutralize cyber threats across our Industrial Information Systems (SII) and Enterprise Information Systems (SIE). Step up to the challenge and help us fortify our digital defences!
Key Responsibilities:
* Safety First: Actively participate in Company safety awareness and initiative schemes.
* Compliance Champion: Ensure key stakeholders comply with TEPUK cyber security requirements.
* Audit Support: Assist LICSO/L-ECSO and sites with audits and improvement plans.
* Solution Roll-out:Support the deployment of HQ cyber security solutions and provide troubleshooting.
* Procedure Development: Help create and maintain cyber security procedures and documentation.
* Government Reporting: Prepare UK government cyber security self-assessment reports and liaise with agency officers.
* Risk Assessment: Conduct and participate in cyber security risk assessments.
* Vulnerability Management: Assist with vulnerability assessments and ensure timely patching.
* Incident Coordination: Work with 3rd parties and vendors during cyber security incidents and post-incident investigations.
* Training & Culture: Promote a positive cyber security culture and develop training materials.
* Project Involvement:Ensure cyber security requirements are integrated into new projects and modifications.
* Exercise Preparation: Assist in the preparation and execution of cyber security exercises.
Candidate Profile
What We Need From You:
* Educational Background: Degree in IS or engineering discipline.
* Industry Experience: Previous experience in similar role.
* Technical Expertise: Proven experience in instrument & controls and/or IT discipline.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with UK industry regulations related to oil and gas.
* Management Skills: Experience managing contractors, vendors, and service providers.
* Communication Skills: Effective communicator, both written and verbal.
* Relationship Building: Strong ability to build relationships at all levels - internally and externally.
