Band 6 Critical Care Sister / Charge Nurse
This role is offered on a part-time basis of 24 hours per week, which means that candidates interested in working part-time are encouraged to apply and will receive a salary on a pro rata basis.
The CCU Band 6 sister will be an excellent clinical critical care nurse with good leadership qualities and a commitment to continuing professional development, reflecting individual needs, the needs of the team, and the needs of the organisation.
The CCU Band 6 sister will be a role model who acts as a clinical expert practitioner, providing specialist knowledge and advising nurses, medical staff, and other members of the multidisciplinary team working within the critical area. As a 24-hour service provider, the post holder is expected to work autonomously, coordinating and managing a defined clinical area without direct supervision, ensuring the safe delivery of specialist treatment.
The CCU Band 6 sister will assist the Ward Manager in resource management, and service deployment and development for the clinical area.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced, motivated nurse to develop leadership and management skills.
As a senior member of the Critical Care Unit team, you will be required to coordinate the safe delivery of care daily to critically ill patients.
