General Teaching Assistant Location: North West England, Merseyside, Liverpool Job Type: Contract, Full-Time Salary: £12.90 - £13.50 Per hour Job Description: Job Duties: Supporting teachers in delivering educational activities Assisting with classroom management and behaviour of students Providing one-to-one support to students with additional learning needs Preparing educational materials and resources Supervising students during break times and outings Required Qualifications: GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent) Relevant experience working with children or in an educational setting Ability to pass a background check Education: Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths Additional qualifications in education or childcare are beneficial Experience: Previous experience working with children or in an educational environment Experience in supporting students with special educational needs Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of classroom dynamics and student behaviour management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively within a team Basic knowledge of educational principles and practises Preferred Qualifications: Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification First Aid certification Training in safeguarding and child protection Working Conditions: Full-time position with regular school hours Work within a school setting with occasional outdoor activities Opportunity for professional development and training All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
