At Dr Gray's Hospital, Elgin we are looking for a Senior Charge Nurse to lead a very busy and demanding Emergency Department (ED). The candidate will demonstrate high quality communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to inspire, empower and motivate the nursing teams.
The candidate should ideally have worked in a Senior Charge Nurse position or held a Senior Staff Nurse post and have a good understanding of the role of the Senior Charge Nurse and the requirements under Leading Better Care.
The Emergency Department receives patients from different specialities therefore experience in acute medicine and/or surgery/orthopaedic and paediatrics is essential and knowledge or experience in patient pathways will be advantageous.
The post holder will be a role model having previously demonstrated excellent leadership and change management skills in relation to team motivation, delivering on service provision, redesign and quality improvement and be able to provide expert professional and clinical advice. The successful candidate should have a genuine interest in balancing exemplary patient centred care with the need to maintain appropriate safe flow of patients through the departments at all times.
You should have evidence of continued professional development along with all standard mandatory and statutory training up to date.
