A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an engaging and motivated Highly Specialised Applied Psychologist to join our secondary care adult mental health service (Hub and Treatment & Intervention Team) in Hartlepool, County Durham.
We are seeking a creative and flexible individual to help improve access to psychological therapies and deliver interventions locally. We are looking for someone who demonstrates openness and warmth, with the ability to contribute to our culture of respect and compassion. The successful candidate will be committed to working alongside those with significant experiences of adversity, to ensure this population receives the highest standards of care.
We would particularly welcome applicants with expertise working with service users with a diagnosis of psychosis or bi-polar. Alternatively, we would welcome applicants who are willing to undertake training in either CBT-Psychosis or Family Interventions, if the opportunity arises.
The post will be based in Stewart House, charming coastal town offers something to suit all needs, including beautiful local landscapes, tranquil beaches, historic sites, and a thriving natural environment. Hartlepool is host to a growing and vibrant cultural and arts scene, including an award-winning marina, local museums, galleries, restaurants and retail venues. Main duties of the job
You will be expected to have the necessary skills and experience to undertake direct clinical work, offer clinical supervision and consultation, contribute to service evaluation, as well as manage the demands of service development and change. Candidates should be skilled psychological professionals with excellent interdisciplinary working skills and interested in contributing to the development of an innovative and dynamic will work closely with our voluntary and community sector, in line with the exciting community transformation agenda.

Essential
1. HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
2. Post-graduate training (doctoral level equivalent) in clinical / counselling / forensic psychology (or its equivalent prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS.
3. Post doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice
4. Trained in clinical supervision and the supervision of doctoral trainees
5. Trained in care co-ordination
6. Evidence of continuing professional development

8. Working as a qualified applied psychologist within the designated service including a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course and a range of clinical severity across a range of care settings.
