We have an exciting vacancy for a Land Charges Support Officer to work under the supervision of the Local Land Charges Officer in ensuring the delivery of an efficient provision of the Local Land Charges service, including assisting with an ongoing migration project.
The Local Land Charges section is run within Legal Services and is committed to providing a quality service which is effective, efficient and responsive.
The main focus of the section is to deal with requests for searches of the Local Land Charges Register, which is kept updated by the section.andnbsp; Entries on the Register are generally financial charges or restrictions on the use of land which have generally been imposed by public authorities under statutory powers. The purpose is to alert purchasers to their existence.andnbsp; Searches can also request information on such matters such as proposals regarding land in the local area and roads.
You will also be required to provide administrative support to the Commercial Team.
If you are interested in this area and would like to develop your knowledge and skills, we would like to hear from you.andnbsp; Training and support will be provided. You should be able to use IT systems and work independently, and able to deal with queries from search agents, solicitors and internal client departments in a professional manner.
