The client is an international energy sector, striving to meet the growing global demand for safe, sustainable, and affordable energy and as such, plans to become a leading player in offshore wind.
They are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join their expanding offshore wind consenting team.
The Consenting Advisor will report to the Consenting Lead and work as part of a multi-disciplinary project team focusing on post-discharge consent.
Role Responsibilities
* Provide technical consenting guidance, support and oversight during Project execution.
* Act as a key interface between engineering and consenting teams during the post-discharge consent process.
* Identify consenting risks and develop mitigation plans for key risks for design, construction, operation and decommissioning.
* For specific work packages including site selection and EIA, manage environmental and consenting consultants to deliver required outputs to support project development.
* Identify and support environmental consents and licenses required to support site investigation activities.
* Manage the delivery of surveys, assessments and reporting required for consents and Environmental Impact Assessment requirements.
Role Requirements
* Degree in Environmental related discipline, Engineering or Science or comparable experience.
* Previous experience in regulatory and permitting activities in England.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Competent user of Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Contract management and delivery experience.
* Experience in renewables development projects.
* Membership of an appropriate professional body.
