Building Physics Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
We are seeking a Building Physics Engineer to join a specialist team in Birmingham. You'll be using Integrated Environmental Solutions and focusing on building performance analysis to contribute to a range of commercial, industrial, manufacturing, logistic, retail, and residential projects.
Requirements to be considered for this Building Physics Consultant role:
* Experience using Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES VE) building simulation software.
* Demonstrable building physics experience.
* A degree in building physics, environmental engineering, or a similar relevant subject.
* Knowledge of UK building regulations, energy codes, and planning requirements.
* (Ideally) IES Accreditation and/or OCDEA/LCC/LCEA qualifications.
* Live in or committable to Birmingham.
The key responsibilities of this Building Physics Engineer role include:
* Carrying out building performance analysis in relation to sustainability, energy efficiency, and thermal comfort.
* Using IES VE software to assess environmental impacts and model building physics.
* Contributing to business development and liaising with clients.
* Contributing to the development of sustainable design strategies.
* Supporting teams to achieve building certifications and energy-efficient targets.
