We’re looking for a support worker with a difference; could it be you?
Emmaus is a secular, worldwide, social enterprise movement that exists to fight poverty, homelessness and other forms of social exclusion.
We provide a home and meaningful work experience to 27 adults who have experienced homelessness, known as Companions, offering them a stable home and an opportunity to find a long-term route out of homelessness.
We’re looking for someone who can help us empower Companions as they gain work experience through volunteering in all different areas of our social enterprise such as retail, furniture deliveries, warehouse work and white goods refurbishment.
We need a good team player who is able to work effectively under pressure, whilst supporting a diverse group of people. You’ll also have effective interpersonal skills as well as strong administration and time management skills. and the personal resilience to work with a challenging client group. Common sense, a practical mind set, and a good sense of humour are essential.
Your working days will be Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) We will be paying £25,410 per year, with annual reviews, plus a generous pension package and 25 days annual leave.
