Join Connect Live as an Equipment Preparation Technician (with AV Training!)
* Are you organised, hands-on, and ready to learn? At Connect Live, we’re all about delivering unforgettable live experiences, and we’re looking for an Equipment Preparation Technician to play a key role in both our warehouse operations and AV setup. This is a fantastic opportunity if you’re interested in developing your AV skills while working in a dynamic, supportive environment.
* What You’ll Be Doing:
* In this role, you’ll split your time between preparing equipment in our warehouse and learning the ropes with AV equipment. Here’s a closer look:
* Warehouse Operations: You’ll be preparing, cleaning, and packaging our rental equipment, ensuring it’s always ready to impress. From forklifting to organizing inventory, you’ll help keep our warehouse running smoothly and efficiently.
* Customer and Site Support: Help clients and drivers pick up and drop off orders, representing Connect Live with professionalism and a friendly attitude.
* AV Equipment Basics: While AV knowledge isn’t required, you’ll be learning to check, test, and configure a range of audio-visual equipment under the guidance of our experienced team.
* Loading and Unloading: Assist with moving equipment in and out of vehicles and on-site locations (we’ll provide safe manual handling training).
* Quality Control: You’ll support the team by checking that every piece of gear is in top condition, logging any issues, and organizing necessary repairs.
Who We’re Looking For: We’re looking for someone who’s eager to learn, adaptable, and enjoys working both independently and with a team. Here’s what would make you a great fit:
* Organised and Detail-Oriented: You’re thorough and take pride in getting every detail right, ensuring our equipment is pristine and ready to go.
* Enthusiastic to Learn AV Skills: While AV experience isn’t required, a genuine interest in learning about audio-visual gear will go a long way in this role.
* Team Player with Initiative: Whether you’re working solo or with others, you’re motivated and ready to jump in wherever you’re needed.
* Good Communication Skills: You’ll interact with customers and team members regularly, so a professional, courteous demeanor is essential.
* Flexibility: With a fast-paced environment, you’re open to short-notice changes and can adapt as needed.
Preferred Skills:
* A UK driving license is a plus, and experience driving larger vehicles (up to 7.5 tons) would be helpful.
* Forklift certification is ideal, but if you don’t have it, we’ll support you in getting trained.
* Basic IT skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook) are helpful for tracking and reporting.
Why Connect Live? At Connect Live, you’ll find a team that values growth, teamwork, and high-quality work. With us, you’ll learn the ins and outs of AV equipment, gain hands-on experience, and work alongside some of the best in the business. This role is a great starting point if you’re looking to develop technical skills in a supportive and exciting environment.
