Newhouse Academy is seeking a SEND Emotional Wellbeing Coordinator to support the strategic leadership of our SEND provision. This is a new role and an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring that all students with special educational needs receive the support they need to thrive.
Working closely with the SENDCo and SEND Curriculum Inclusion Coordinator, you will contribute to the development and implementation of interventions, oversee the provision for pupils with EHCPs, and play an active role in supporting the SEND team, liaising with external agencies, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
In September 2024, we opened a brand new state-of-the-art building which houses ‘Aspire’ our SEN department as well as PE, Performing Arts, Technology, Music, and Science. Newhouse Academy strives for ‘high expectations in all that we do’ and the successful candidate will be committed to helping us achieve this.
In return, we offer:
1. Membership of the Greater Manchester Pension Fund (GMPF)
2. Funded CPD for nationally recognised qualifications
3. An optional package of health benefits from Simply Health which includes GP appointments, money back for eye tests, prescriptions, and more.
4. Free use of brand new gym facilities
5. Staff activities, including a Wellbeing Café
6. Free staff car parking
We openly encourage you to make an appointment to come in and have a look around. Our Assistant Headteacher & SENDCO, Hilary Lunn, is more than willing to meet you and talk through our journey and our vision for the future. Your visit would include a tour of the new school building which opened in September 2024. If you would like to arrange a visit, please email Rebekah Duffy.
