Our client is seeking a qualified or QBE accountant who is forward thinking and enthusiastic to lead and manage a small team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Directors and be responsible for maintaining the financial processes, preparing year-end accounts, and managing payroll.
Responsibilities of an Accounts Manager:
1. Oversee the daily operations of the accounts department.
2. Prepare multi sets of year-end accounts to trial balance.
3. Maintain personal account records and assist with self-Assessment submissions.
4. Handle loans, mortgage schedules, and manage multiple bank accounts.
5. Sales and purchase ledger checks, bank statement uploads, and reconciliation.
6. Process payroll for salaried, hourly, and weekly staff, including pension and HMRC submissions.
7. Ensure timely VAT returns, manage payment runs, and handle credit card reconciliations.
8. Manage pension enrolments, PAYE submissions, and salary payments.
9. Maintain asset and liability schedules and manage payroll software.
