Warwick Arts Centre, the largest multi-venue arts complex outside of London, is looking for an enthusiastic Technical Co-ordinator to help deliver exceptional technical services to the centre.
Job Description
As a key member of our dynamic team, you'll help oversee the technical operations of the Arts Centre, ensuring events run smoothly from start to finish. Working closely with the Technical Manager, you'll coordinate staffing, technical requirements, and ensure all visiting artists, societies, and event organizers have the support they need to create outstanding experiences.
You'll assist in leading a talented team of technical staff to deliver a seamless service while also collaborating with front-of-house, programming, and other departments. Whether you're assisting with the setup of a major production or supporting an intimate performance, you'll play an essential role in making every event a success.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead and motivate a team of technical staff to deliver excellent customer service. You will work collaboratively with colleagues within the technical, front-of-house, and programming teams to provide an outstanding customer experience. As an ambassador for Warwick Arts Centre, you will have the opportunity to interact with a diverse range of users and visitors, making a positive impact on their experience. You will also have the opportunity to keep up to date with technological developments in the Technical Theatre and performance industry, advising on their suitability for use at Warwick Arts Centre.
Job Requirements
We are looking for a proactive, positive, and flexible candidate who, alongside primarily covering a weekday daytime schedule, will undertake a duty technician role on events each fortnight that will be outside of these core hours. This may include occasional overnight, weekends, customary and statutory days. You should have experience in technical theatre operations and an understanding of the legal framework of Health and Safety regulations. You should also be a competent IT user and able to use and quickly learn different systems and packages, including Excel, Word, CAD packages, and specialist theatre and cinema software.
