Are you an experienced engineering professional with a passion for composites manufacturing? Join our world-renowned team and help drive excellence in our Laminating and Kit Cutting department.
The position:
As a key member of our Composite Manufacturing team, you’ll work directly with the Composite Manufacturing Manager to provide technical expertise, leadership, and strategic direction to help meet production and operational targets.
As the Laminating and Kit Cutting Supervisor your key responsibilities will be:
* Collaborate with Methods Engineering and Operational Planning to create production plans that meet delivery, quality, and design goals.
* Attend project launch meetings, providing vital manufacturing guidance to optimize lead times, quality, and costs.
* Help shape the strategic future of the department by working alongside the Manufacturing Manager to build a world-class team and facility.
* Foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
* Ensure compliance with all process data requirements, including Time Evaluation System (TES) and Manufacturing Execution System (MESTEC).
* Drive day-to-day performance and monitor key metrics to ensure continuous department improvement.
* Hold regular meetings with staff and Team Leaders to ensure clear priorities are set and met.
* Oversee the preparation and approval of pre and FIA Homologation tests, ensuring full compliance with design and quality standards.
* Review and update production work instructions, ensuring all documentation is relevant and accurate.
* Identify opportunities for cost optimization and improve efficiency.
We are looking for a Laminating and Kit Cutting Supervisor with the following experience and qualifications:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Composites or equivalent.
* Proven experience managing teams within the composites manufacturing field.
* Background in F1 motorsport or similar high-performance environments.
* Champion Lean and 5S initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
* In-depth knowledge of composite manufacturing processes and methods.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all departments.
* Proven ability to foster a positive, supportive, and safe working environment.
* Leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams with open communication.
