Position: Full-Time Job in Sport Management
The High Point-Thomasville HiToms are in search of driven undergraduate college students looking for experience in baseball operations or recreation management to join their summer internship program for the 2025 baseball season.
The HiToms are a summer college league baseball team that competes in the Coastal Plain League (CPL), comprised of teams from North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia.
Intern Responsibilities:
1. Promoting and selling tickets.
2. Managing concessions and merchandise inventory.
3. Scheduling workers for gamedays.
4. Organizing aspects of ticket sales for HiToms home games, including ticket printing, group packages, and more.
5. Assisting in creating and displaying/tearing down stadium decorations and accessories.
6. Restocking the concession stands and souvenir stands.
7. Assisting in scheduling and operations for HiToms legion and affiliate teams.
8. Helping plan and execute on-field promotions.
9. Communicating with members of the media and marketing teams to ensure the stadium is prepared for home games.
10. In-game duties such as box office rep, scoreboard operation, and more.
11. Maintaining a working knowledge of the Coastal Plain League and its other members.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Pursuing a degree in sports management, recreation management, or other related field.
2. Ability to remain organized while multitasking.
3. Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations and manage others well.
4. Willing to work at times during the day, as well as all HiToms home games (approximately 30).
5. Love the game of baseball and be dedicated to promoting its growth through the HiToms organization and the surrounding community.
6. Have at least one job or internship experience related.
7. Must have reliable transportation.
8. Provide their own housing – we do not provide housing for interns, however, we partner with UNCG for housing at a reduced price in the summer.
Compensation: $20 per home game (approximately 30 home games).
