Job Description
Waterman Aspen North West are seeking a Principal Civil Engineer who will be responsible for the design and delivery of schemes. The Principal Engineer will be responsible for the project management and provide a team leadership role in a multi disciplinary environment working on a wide variety of schemes.
Requirements:
Ideally, you will hold a BSc or BEng in Civil Engineering or equivalent and working towards or have achieved a Chartership CEng
Able to demonstrate managing a team, resources and finances in a competitive Highways environment
Prepare fee proposals based on number of hours to complete activities
To be confident to review and sign off deliverables in any given scheme.
Able to demonstrate the submission of schemes, including all it’s deliverables as well as processing start up and call-off procedures.
Must have experience in the reviewing and preparation of contract drawings and specifications
Ideally have experience in Section 38 and 278, 104 and 106 Agreements
Have knowledge and experience in highways design for local authority and/or Highways England schemes
To have good working knowledge of the MCHW, DMRB and contract documentation to NEC3
To be well versed with the NRSWA procedures and to be able to open and complete negotiations with Statutory Undertakers
