About us
Kingswood Secondary Academy has benefited hugely from being part of the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT). We are situated in the fantastic town of Corby, Northamptonshire. It is an exciting time for Corby as the town moves forward strongly with mainline access to St Pancras, excellent road links with the A14/M1/A1, beautiful villages and countryside, a substantial new housing development, a new town centre, an Olympic swimming pool, the Corby Cube – the list goes on!
At Kingswood, we have been steadily and sustainably improving and are now proud that our students achieve above-national-average outcomes; indeed, we are in the top third of Northamptonshire schools for the progress our students make. A huge part of this progress has been putting our fantastic staff at the heart of all that we do. We have a long tradition of training and developing our staff, but we are very pleased to be well on in the process of further strengthening and planning a very intentional and high-quality programme of staff development.
We are blessed with very high-quality teaching and learning facilities, including innovatively designed ICT suites, purpose-built laboratories, excellent sporting facilities, a brand-new Restaurant for our Y7 and Y8 students, and a dedicated Sixth Form area, to name but a few!
The academy is led by the Principal, Matt Gamble, who is dedicated to securing achievement for all pupils and has high expectations of students and staff, encouraging all young people to work hard and make the best of all the opportunities provided.
