We are looking for a learning disability team leader to work in a team which delivers support and employability skills development activities to adults with learning disabilities, communication difficulties, personal care and complex needs.
Candidates should be able to work as part of a team or under their own initiative. Candidates should be willing to take the lead in the ongoing oversight of employability/ skills development projects already being delivered by the service. As well as being able to take the lead in continuing to identify and develop a wide range of potential new projects.
All projects designed, require having a focus on supporting the development of skills required to support employment, whilst holistically balancing the needs of the people we support, potential employers as well as a range of others.
Candidates require excellent communication skills and confidence in their ability. Candidates must be willing and able to undertake training to SVQ Level 4, alongside all other training required for service delivery.
The Isobel Rhind Centre is open Monday – Friday, 8.45 am – 4.15pm, although successful candidates may be required to be available for flexible shift patterns which include minimal evening and weekend working out with these core hours. Although the role is primarily based in the Isobel Rhind Centre, you may also be required to lone work in community based settings or as part of a small team.
