On behalf of my client, I am seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Supervisor to lead a talented team and ensure operational excellence in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The Role
As the Engineering Supervisor, you’ll take on a leadership role where you’ll oversee electrical maintenance operations and support the local management team in driving performance and quality. Key responsibilities include:
* Team leadership: Supervising Electrical Shift Technicians, Day Shift Technicians, and Instrument & Control Engineers to deliver exceptional results.
* Operational planning: Scheduling and coordinating electrical work with a focus on safety, efficiency, and project timelines.
* Performance management: Monitoring team output, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring tasks are completed to the highest standards.
* Compliance and safety: Ensuring all work adheres to health, safety, and environmental policies, as well as industry standards and regulations.
* Project involvement: Supporting improvements and delivering high-quality project work as part of a proactive maintenance approach.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
To be considered for this role, you should have:
* At least 5 years of experience in the paper industry or a similar process-driven environment.
* HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
* Proven experience in team leadership and management.
* Excellent communication and project management skills.
* A passion for achieving and maintaining quality excellence.

Bonus Skills (Desirable but not Essential):
* Knowledge of PLC programming.
* Experience with HV switching (up to 11kv) and VSDs.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software.
