Stock Controller
Role & Responsibilities:
The role is primarily the control of in-house and external manufacturing supply chain requirements, to support Operations in meeting customer needs and the business plan.
Main Duties:
1. Ensuring diligent monitoring of material levels, stock inventory, and WIP value and levels.
2. Own the stock taking process reporting and resolving any discrepancies.
3. Work closely with the Operations Planning Manager to meet the material needs of the Production department, discussing any upcoming constraints that might affect the production plan, and implementing alternative solutions to ensure customer delivery requirements are adhered to.
4. Fully understand material delivery dates and supply chain constraints against the production plan.
5. Be fully conversant with the ERP planning system and provide training for others.
6. Raise sub-contract purchase orders and liaise with suppliers, identifying any potential delivery issues that may affect the production plan and communicate to sales/production accordingly.
7. Raise consumable purchase orders required for the Production department.
8. Report on WIP levels, sub-con performance, and OTD data.
9. Ensure key performance indicators are reviewed and improvement plans are created to improve overall performance.
10. Develop a customer-focused, pro-active function within the business which supports both commercial and operational teams in achieving company goals and targets.
11. Support the Operations Planning Team and undertake any reasonable task as required by your Line Manager.

Desirable Skills/Experience:
1. Familiarity with the engineering/metals supply chain in either the UK or export markets.
2. Experience of selling added value products such as machined items/components.
Hours of Work:
1. Mon – Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm (1-hour lunch)
