Johnson and Johnson’s Innovative Health Engagement and Advocacy (IHE&A) organization has been created to drive meaningful impact to participant health and wellbeing by reinventing the clinical trial experience. The Manager, Feasibility Strategy within IHE&A, will be pivotal in supporting the Director, Feasibility Strategy in shaping our above trial feasibility strategies, including feasibility platforms. This individual will collaborate closely with Delivery Unit (DU) stakeholders and other important functions across the organization, including Data Science and Digital Health (DSDH), to drive a data-driven approach to our work, including site segmentation and site tiering. Work closely with our DSDH partners to gain valuable insights into current trends and identify key areas of opportunity to enhance our Feasibility ways of working (WoW) within the DUs.
The Manager will support the creation of innovative frameworks and WoW, tailored to meet the needs of the specific DUs, including our Medical Affairs Organization (MAO). Contributions within this role will be instrumental in optimizing our Feasibility Engagement strategies with our trusted partners and supporting the seamless operations of our clinical trials globally.
Principal Responsibilities:
* Drive harmonization and development of new suite of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)/Job Aids to ensure consistent structure and approach. Work collaboratively with these key stakeholders to design strategies aligned with the priorities of the DUs.
* Accountable as the lead on several large initiatives to improve feasibility processes such as commissioning data strategies, leading SOP development, being the execution lead in partnership with other feasibility leaders to put together strategies and execute process improvements.
* Support feasibility steering committee as a facilitator and subject matter expert for feasibility.
* Support teams during execution of high-touch programs to ensure adoption and consistent ways of working.
* Perform post-mortem analysis with study teams and create/drive opportunities for improvement.
* Operationalize technology and analytical initiatives related to feasibility process.
* Function as a System Matter Expert (SME) for operational Feasibility systems
* Track efficiencies resulting from the implementation of new technology initiatives related to study placement and enrollment tracking.
* Log and triage improvement opportunities gathered from study teams for feasibility tools and processes.
* Serve as the business process expert for Feasibility and shape a growing organization by influencing WoW.
* Champion LEAN principles and build a culture of process excellence across the organization.
* Continually identify areas of opportunity where standardization of a process would offer advantages over existing individualized approaches.
* Individually put together deliverables or lead matrixed and cross functional teams in the end-to-end development and deployment of new or optimized processes, including generating buy-in from impacted parties.
* Develop and oversee cross DU repository for study specific feasibility outputs, training materials.
* Support development of cross-DU view of feasibilities in progress.
* Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
Qualifications
* A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in a scientific or healthcare discipline.
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in site feasibility within Pharmaceutical R&D is required.
* Previous experience with feasibility processes and practice is required.
* Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCPs) is preferred.
* Understanding of the processes associated with study/project management, monitoring, and clinical and regulatory operations is preferred.
* Strong leadership acumen, with experience in managing teams and establishing a positive work environment, is required.
* Proven ability to think strategically and bring innovative ideas to evolve and optimize feasibility processes and frameworks is required.
* Experience in creating structured approaches to drive flawless execution and establish standards of excellence is required.
* Must have excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
* Must have strong negotiation and analytical problem-solving skills.
* Must have the ability to thrive in a complex and rapidly changing environment, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.
* The ability to effectively utilize data to inform feasibility assessments and drive decision-making is required.
* The ability to influence stakeholders across a matrix organization is required.
* The position will require up to 10% domestic and international travel.
The anticipated base pay range for this position in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA is $141,000 to $227,700.
The anticipated base pay range for this position in all other U.S. locations is $115,000 to $197,800.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

* Vacation - up to 120 hours per calendar year
* Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington - up to 56 hours per calendar year
* Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays - up to 13 days per calendar year
* Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
