We are seeking a dedicated Youth Worker to join one of our Partner Schools in Stockton-on-Tees. You will play a vital role in supporting students with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties, helping them to engage positively with their education.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provide support under the direction and supervision of teaching staff to assist pupils to access the curriculum and participate fully in school activities
- Participate in planning and evaluation of learning activities with the teacher, providing feedback to the teacher on pupil progress
- Support the teacher in behaviour management and keeping pupils on task based on the expectations for individual pupils
- Provide support for pupils with challenging behaviour taking account of support plans and risk assessments under the direct supervision of a teacher
A successful candidate must provide the following
- Must hold an enhanced DBS registered with the update service
- Patient and Reliable
- Experience working with people with SEN / Disabilities
- Be confident supporting children and young people
- Worked as a Care / Support worker
- Trained in Moving and Handling
Due to the role being required on a long term basis, we are able to negotiate your daily rate on your behalf, starting from £85 per day.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
