Job Description
As an Estimator Apprentice, you will play a key role in supporting the estimating team and gaining hands-on experience in cost estimation and procurement processes.
This apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity to develop valuable skills in a dynamic work environment, with comprehensive training in estimating techniques, compliance standards, and tender management.
You'll work closely with senior estimators to support the preparation of cost estimates and assist with various administrative tasks, setting the foundation for a successful career in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support Estimators: Assist senior estimator in preparing cost estimates by analysing documents, and calculating costs.
2. Tender Documents: Help review and assess tender documents.
3. Obtain Quotations: Support the procurement process by obtaining competitive quotations from suppliers.
4. Administrative Tasks: Handle related administrative tasks such as answering calls, responding to emails, and maintaining documentation.
5. On-the-Job Training: Receive full training on estimating techniques, testing standards, and compliance requirements.
6. Work Environment: The role involves a mix of office-based work, providing hands-on experience.

This involves regular catch-ups, check-in emails and calls. Your employer will agree to give you 20% of your working hours solely towards your study.
This will give you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible! On completion of this 12 month apprenticeship you will have gained a Level 3 Business Administration Qualification.

Possible progression onto a full-time role after the Apprenticeship.
