An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Paediatric Critical Care Outreach team.
The Paediatric Critical Care Outreach team are extremely proud of the service they provide to children and their families and carers with duties including:
Responding to the deteriorating child, NPEWS & cardiac arrests
Following up patients discharged from Paediatric Critical Care
Signposting and supporting correct pathways of care and escalation with professional and parental concerns.
Undertaking audit and service improvement
Teaching and education of medical, nursing and AHP colleagues
Contributing to Paediatric Critical Care outreach agenda and evaluations
Applicants must have proven excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills with the ability to make effective clinical judgments in often very difficult circumstances. You will need to be an expert clinical practitioner and provide extensive clinical advice to support the ward-based staff and confident sharing information with a range of healthcare colleagues within a variety of scenarios in clinical setting.
You will be a role model to the other team members, promoting professionalism, skills and knowledge through education and teaching and will be responsible for creating key relationships for the team within clinical setting working closely with other Managers and leaders both locally and nationally to provide a responsive and effective service.
Applicants must be hard working, highly motivated, have excellent communication skills and exhibit patient focused approach that is compassionate and caring.
