Personal Assistant Job Description

Location Westbury
Hours Maximum 37 hours per week -part-time/job share considered
Payrate £13 per hour
Holiday 5.6 weeks per year including bank holidays (pro rata for part time)
Driving Licence Yes – (with use of employer’s vehicle)
DBS Check Yes - will be funded by the employer
A bit about me:
I have a varied background with many interests including festival music, word puzzles, reading and listening to audio books. I live with my lovely partner along with our dog and cat. I have an OU postgraduate degree in clinical psychology (MSc) and enjoy my volunteer role in an advocacy organisation - "supporting social inclusion in local communities".
About the role:
Daily Personal duties:
● Assisting to get up, shower wash dress, prepare food breakfast (lunch etc)
● Cooking and Preparation of a variety of meals for an evening meal
● Evening Care Putting to bed/ bathing/showering
● Support to manage medication (when required)
● Assist on & off Bed, Toilet, (experience with track hoists, is preferable but training can be provided)
● Assist with Dental/Oral Hygiene and Denture Care
General household support:
● Check and Empty Bins
● Sweep & Mop Floors
● Keep Bathroom clean and tidy
● Check On Washing, Dry (clothes) putting on/in when necessary
● Clean down all surfaces in Kitchen
● Change Bed(s) Pillows Duvet & Sheets
Admin support:
• Inventory of medical supplies and assisting with Supply Order (If required)
● Monitor Equipment Servicing Schedule (to assist in Health and safety requirements)
Community support:
• Shopping trips
• Medical & Social appointments
