About the Role Based within the Student Recruitment Operations team at the University of Exeter, this role focuses on providing nurturing customer experiences across a range of enquiry channels for prospective students and stakeholders. You will be providing information, advice, and guidance to prospective students across a range of formats and channels. Working within a team of colleagues in similar roles, you will become a specialist in an aligned faculty area, with the ability to hold knowledge, and support across all faculties, supporting prospective students and University colleagues on a daily basis. You will be joining our team at an exciting time as we create and build a first-class enquiries service at the University. You will be responding to enquiries from a varied and multinational customer base daily across different enquiry channels, including live chat and phone lines and via our CRM system, Microsoft Dynamics. In addition to enquiries, this role will help support the Student Recruitment Operations Team organise and run a range of student recruitment activity – both in person and virtual – throughout the academic year. Supporting the University's undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment ambitions, this work will include activity like online subject sessions and virtual open days, large scale on-campus Open Days and Offer Holder Days and applicant interviews. Within the role you will build relationships across the Student Recruitment Operations team and more widely within the EEG division, as well as key academic and stakeholder contacts to support the smooth running of student recruitment activity across all levels of study. About you We are looking for a proactive individual with a natural instinct for excellent customer service and who prides themselves on their ability to provide a positive, supportive, and nurturing customer experience at every opportunity. Ideally you will have experience of handling enquiries across a variety of channels and experience in working in a customer focused environment dealing with a wide range of stakeholders. An ideal candidate would be an effective communicator with demonstrable organisational and planning skills and some experience in working on events. Your attention to detail and ability to provide clear and accurate information is key. Whilst experience of using Microsoft Dynamics or a CRM system would be welcome, you will be provided with training to use our different software systems, as well as wider training to develop your knowledge of the university in a specialist area. Student Recruitment Operations Team Our team delivers student recruitment activity for the university across all cohorts, markets, and programmes of study to support the university's recruitment strategy and aims. Working across all our campuses, the team is responsible for supporting the student experience at key touchpoints in their recruitment journey, whether that is through creation and delivery of over 200 in-person and virtual events or managing thousands of individual enquiries and requests for information and advice. The team works in a matrix approach, with thematic groups focusing on specific areas of recruitment, ranging from digital activity to events and enquiries.
