AV Industrial Products Ltd is a leading supplier of Anti-Vibration Mountings and Rubber Engineering Components. Due to our continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to join our team. The role is a full time, permanent position, with our office based in Wigston, Leicester. Preferably the right person will be able to commute into the Wigston office, however all sales regions are enjoying continued growth and so all candidate locations will be considered, with home working a possibility. Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00 however depending upon the demands of the role you will be expected to work outside of these. Abilities You should have enthusiasm and drive to generate sales with good business acumen Be confident and personable plus able to work under some pressure You should have self-motivation and be able to work under own initiative Skills Full driving license Have good negotiation skills Able to represent the company in a professional manner Conversant with Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Familiar with measurement equipment such as verniers, however training can be provided Good communication at all levels Experience Some knowledge of mechanical systems or an engineering background would be beneficial Have previous field sales experience Having previously sold engineered products from B2B would be beneficial, however training can be provided Experience with prospecting and generating new business sales would be beneficial, however training can be provided Duties and Responsibilities Prospecting, cold calling and generating new business sales Arranging and performing customer visits Have an ability to carry out technical discussions & commercial discussions Organise your own diary with good time keeping Depending upon your geographic region you may be required to work from your home, with full technical support provided from our Leicester Site You will be provided with a car, laptop, phone, business expenses You will receive direction from and report to the Sales Director Possible overnight stays, including overseas Possible exhibition participation Depending upon experience training for the above duties can be provided as necessary Benefits In return you will receive a generous salary, bonus and pension 20 days annual holiday plus mandatory Product training will be provided.
