Job Purpose
Coordination of all scopes relating to rigid pipeline engineering on either a study, tender or project.
Job Description
1. Within the context of a project or a tender, the OneRigid Lead is expected to coordinate, on behalf of the project team, all aspects associated with rigid pipeline engineering, including engineering input to / from fabrication and installation (constrains, limitation, envelope…) which might affect the overall engineered rigid pipeline performance as a sub-system (installed and tested as per industry / customers’ requirements). This includes, but is not limited to:
2. Recommendation of the technology / most cost-effective pipeline system solution to be selected to tender/project. Ensuring all in-place and mechanical design aspects of the pipeline subsystem is optimised and communicated as input to a project’s installation / offshore fabrication strategy on a tender Dimensioning of rigid pipeline solution and in-field inputs to MTO. Assurance of a robust in-service design. Providing Engineering inputs required for the procurement and fabrication of the rigid pipeline scope. Coordination of the technical support of rigid-related equipment as procured by project (PDM), which is responsible to ensure that all subsystem components will be delivered at Spoolbase at the planned dates. Engineering support to VDT as required for a safe and efficient offshore deployment of the rigid pipeline products. Interface with Client and IVBs on all Rigid Pipeline Engineering topics. Ownership of engineering activities CTRs, Quality of Deliverables and Schedule.
You are meant for this job if:
3. Holding a high-quality honours degree or equivalent in a relevant field of engineering such as Mechanical, Naval or Civil Engineering with solid knowledge of materials (metallic and plastic).
4. Good level of relevant experience and /or understanding of; application of engineering theory of rigid pipeline behaviour to a range of specific and general pipeline design issues, including but not limited to: pipeline mechanical design and design and/or in-service behaviour as well as the integrated design/engineering requirements to cater for fabrication and installation in the Engineering phase.
5. Demonstrate the following competencies on a consistent basis:

6. Experience in Reel-lay, S-lay and/or J-lay.
7. Operational project experience from other phases such as fabrication, installation and commissioning.
8. Good awareness / experience of interfacing with other disciplines taking part in execution of a SURF scope.
9. Scheduling and costing appreciation of scopes
10. Example of past differentiation or innovation which help lowering the risk, cost or schedule of a design or operation.
