JOB PURPOSE
To analyse, build, configure, test, deploy, and support fit-for-purpose changes to the business’ systems to specified requirements, deadlines, and budgets.
DIMENSIONS
Work within a team of permanent and third-party Case Management System Developers and Analyst/Programmers within the IT Development team. Collaborate with other teams including IT Operations, Corporate Projects, MI, Operations, Client Relationship Management, and third-party clients and suppliers.
Experience Requirements
1. Develop, configure, maintain, and test system elements to meet functional requirements.
2. Support initial feasibility discussions, provide assessments and estimates of effort to support the review and approval processes.
3. Complete any necessary systems analysis work to assess gaps in functionality and suggest/determine the most appropriate solution for given requirements and produce functional design documentation where necessary.
4. Plan for, document, and execute technical testing, support User Acceptance Testing, and plan and coordinate deployment activities.
5. Work with the IT Operations team to help investigate and resolve application software incidents, and support the production of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documentation where needed.
SCOPE OF THE ROLE
1. The role is highly dynamic with frequent changes in priorities.
2. Flexibility with working hours is essential, as some changes may require work outside of normal office hours.

6. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and able to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels.
7. Keeps abreast of developing and emerging technologies.
Technical skills & QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
1. Technical background, with demonstrable experience in delivering through the entire software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities and skills:
Proven development experience using Visual Studio 2010 (VB.NET, C#), Classic ASP, ASP.Net and ASP MVC, SQL Server 2008 and T-SQL (queries, stored procedures, and functions), MS Office Automation (VBA, MS Access, MS Excel)
Business/process analysis and issue/problem management skills
1. Ability to plan for the short- and long-term.
2. Broad understanding of systems architectures and infrastructures.
3. Willing to participate in the out-of-hours support rota and morning check routine.
Desirable
1. Experience of working on projects using a recognised methodology (Agile).
