12 Month Fixed-Term Contract
Salary : £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
Location : Hybrid (with occasional office based meetings in Plymouth and Exeter)

Delt Shared Services is seeking an Audit & Data Security Assessor to join our Cyber and Data Protection Team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to support our customers in meeting regulatory requirements while enhancing their IT security and data protection practices.
About the Role:
As an Audit & Data Security Assessor, you'll play a vital role in evaluating and improving the effectiveness of Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) provisions and IT security controls.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting audits to assess compliance with DSPT and IT security requirements.
* Supporting Delt’s own DSPT submissions and assisting customers with their submissions.
* Identifying and mitigating risks, recommending improvements to enhance security and compliance.
* Staying updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
* Building strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
* 2-5 years of experience conducting IT audits or completing DSPT submissions for an NHS Trust.
* Familiarity with UK GDPR, Cyber Essentials, and NHS security and data protection standards.
* Strong understanding of data security and protection principles and regulatory compliance.
* Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, actionable recommendations.
* A customer-focused mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
* Knowledge of standards like ISO 27001, Cyber Assurance Framework, or NIST Cybersecurity Framework is not essential, but would be of benefit.
