Process Engineering Manager - Bridgwater, Somerset
Shift Pattern: Days Monday – Friday 38 hours

About the role of Process Engineering Manager at Refresco:
Be the Inspirational Process Engineering Lead ensuring the behaviours you exhibit reflect the Refresco values.

Lead the reliability and improvement programs for all plant equipment including, but not limited to, UHT Plant, Pasteurisation, Homogenising, Separating, HS Mixers, Aseptic Valve matrices.
Support the day-to-day operations of the engineering and maintenance departments.
Deliver a robust PM package enabling the optimum output from the plant whilst maintaining compliance.
Lead the execution of all technical troubleshooting & repairs.
Monitor and ensure timely completion of all plant technical repairs and upgrades.
Drive Engineering improvements to reduce costs and increase productivity.
Support with the business strategy – skills & training / Organisation / Growth.
Reduce reliance on OEM support through growing internal competencies.
Build a strategy for future training, recruitment & retention of engineering team members.
Improve overall reliability of lines – special focus on APET.
Behavioural safety deployment.
Deliver the Engineering Pillars:
1. Autonomous Maintenance (AM) – Improve Operator Maintenance through basic equipment care to halt deterioration and stabilise equipment.
2. Focused Improvement (FI) – Drive Team Focused Uptime and Operational Equipment Effectiveness through strategic improvement on underperforming performing equipment with known & unknown losses.
3. Professional Maintenance (PM) – Improve Planned Maintenance with Service Contract Suppliers and internal Engineers to optimize life of the equipment and maintenance costs as volume changes over time.
4. Early Equipment Management (EEM) – create smarter & successful new equipment/automation start-ups by improving reliability and flow with early design/layout support for new assets.
5. Training and Education (TE) – facilitate employee Maintenance related training utilising Single Point Lessons (SPL) and standard work tools.
About you:
To be successful as a Process Engineering Manager here at Refresco, you will need to have a strong background in liquid processing of consumable products with preferable experience of white liquids.
Introduced Maintenance Excellence into a processing plant.
Be capable of demonstrating a clear understanding of compliance and legislation for consumable liquid products.
Demonstrable ability of embedding new practices and ways of working.
Working knowledge of Tetra and Manzini Processing Plants.
Strong Engineering reliability and process experience.
Knowledge of UHT Plant, Pasteurisation, Homogenising, Separating, HS Mixers, Aseptic Valve matrices.
Ideally, you will have studied dairy science or similar.
