Our client is looking for an experienced, hands-on Quality Manager to join their team in Norwich.
Key Responsibilities of the Quality Manager will be:
* Lead investigations into customer complaints, analyze trends, and ensure appropriate corrective actions are in place.
* Conduct routine audits and collaborate with production teams to maintain a high standard of audit readiness, fostering a "ready every day" culture.
* Oversee product quality checks to ensure all output meets or exceeds customer expectations.
* Maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) across all sites.
* Supervise daily taste paneling and confirm accuracy of quality attribute documentation.
* Compile and present site technical and quality KPIs in monthly reports.
* Coordinate and manage traceability exercises, product recalls, and withdrawal testing.
* Inspire and lead the technical and hygiene teams, continually developing team capability.
* Update technical specifications and manage third-party and customer audits as needed.
* Collaborate with the Head of Manufacturing and Head of Technical to drive technical excellence across the board.
Requirements for this Quality Manager position:
* Proven experience in a Technical or Quality Manager role within the food or beverage industry.
* HACCP Level 3 certification (or higher) and experience with BRC or similar audit standards.
* Strong quality assurance knowledge, with experience in customer-facing roles and people management.
* Ability to build strong operational relationships and work autonomously with attention to detail.
* Internal Auditor training, with a desire for continuous improvement and an adaptable, positive outlook.
* Flexibility and a proactive approach in food safety situations.
