Accounts Assistant Location: Nantwich, Cheshire Job Type: Part-time (20-32 hours per week) - with an option for full time for the right candidate. Salary: From £15.00 per hour, negotiable depending on experience We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team of two in an office-based role. This position offers flexibility in days and hours worked per week, ideally suited for an all-rounder who is ready to engage in all aspects of company financial controls. Day-to-day of the role: Utilise the Xero accounting package to manage financial records. Create ad hoc spreadsheets using Excel to support financial analysis and reporting. Manage purchase ledger documents ensuring accurate general ledger coding. Raise and email sales invoices, maintaining meticulous attention to detail in presentation. Prepare weekly PL management reports and present results to the Board. Communicate effectively with customers, especially in managing accounts receivable and credit control. Handle bank payments and perform bank reconciliations. Prepare payroll using BrightPay software. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency in using Xero accounting software and Excel. Strong understanding of purchase ledger management and general ledger coding. Experience in raising sales invoices and credit control. Ability to prepare and present financial reports. Excellent communication skills, particularly in customer interactions. Experience with bank reconciliations and payroll preparation. Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
