Role Description
The successful BDE candidate will work with our Route-to-Market partners in the free trade and pub companies to expand and manage our portfolio amongst our customer base. Typically, they will be in trade daily across varied urban and rural sites around Birmingham and the West Midlands, meeting with customers and consumers.
They will have an excellent knowledge of the cask ale category and the experience to be trusted advisors to licensees on how to maximise profitability from cask ale through excellent beer quality, ranging, and quality of serve. They will value and build deep relationships with our customers, RTM partners, and PubCo operators, being prepared to go that extra mile for them and having the hunger to enjoy winning new distribution of our beers.
Key accountabilities and outputs:
* Building distribution growth of the Theakston portfolio across all On Trade channels.
* Ensure customers are fully supported with issue resolution to maintain our brand distribution.
* Maximise beer quality of Theakston brands through appropriate outlet selection and beer quality advice and interventions with licensees.
* Supporting the visibility of Theakston brands in outlets through the appropriate use of POS and other supporting materials.
* Driving and achieving distribution targets for NPD in line with our innovation agenda.
* Maintaining a broad industry knowledge and category understanding to be a trusted advisor to licensees.
Qualifications
* Have a passion for great beer and great pubs.
* Previous experience with cask or craft beer would be ideal.
* Ability to work on own initiative and take responsibility.
* Ambition to take on challenges, find solutions, driving business and relationships forward.
* Confident and enthusiastic personality who takes real pride in building deep customer relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business trends within the On Trade market and broader beer industry.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Proficient in basic IT skills.

* £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
