The role of Clinical Educator will be to work alongside the Senior Nursing Team within Endoscopy to ensure high quality, effective and safe care for all service users. The post holder is charged with ensuring the continuing education and training of all staff.
Main duties of the job
The Endoscopy Unit at Wythenshawe Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and proactive leader to join us as our dedicated Endoscopy Clinical Educator. Our procedures are varied and diverse and include diagnostics, therapeutics and surveillance, gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, PEG insertion, EUS/FNA, ERCP & Spyglass, and ESD delivering high quality care to our patients.
We are looking for an individual with a keen interest in education and experience in endoscopy to work with our staff to develop their skills and knowledge. Your remit will be to support staff within the Endoscopy unit but you will also have close working relationships with the wider team and Trust Clinical Educators. Endoscopy experience is essential. Although not essential, a teaching qualification is desirable and a proven record of formal or informal training is required.

Experience
* Minimum 3 years Endoscopy experience at Band 5 or above.
* Ability to motivate others in the team and demonstrate personal initiative.
* Teaching in a clinical environment.
* Experience of clinical audit.
* Experience of research activities.
Qualifications
* Evidence of relevant post qualification study.
* Relevant teaching qualification.
* B.Sc. in a relevant subject or working towards.
* Teaching qualification.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
