Elevation Accountancy & Finance are working in partnership with a leading business based in Doncaster, as they look to expand their current finance function with the addition of a commercially focussed, ambitious and knowledgeable Management Accountant into their team. This role would suit an ACCA/CIMA Part-Qualified Accountant OR a Newly Qualified Accountant.
We are looking for a dynamic, progressive, hands-on, confident, and capable candidate who really wants to take ownership for their role and add value to a small team environment whilst working for a large, corporate, well-established business!
Duties & Responsibilities of the Management Accountant will include:
1. Responsible for Head office management accounts preparation, including control of central overheads, preparation of budget and forecasts
2. Responsible for preparing monthly reports and holding regular meetings to provide up to date information on actual spend to assist them with management of their team
3. Assist Finance Manager with month end close including preparation and checking of consolidated management accounts
4. Regular finance reporting including monthly board report, land commitment creditor information and weekly sales information
5. Assist with audit pack and audit queries
6. Assist Finance Manager with performing checks on regions’ financial reconciliations/outputs to drive consistency and accuracy in the regional outputs
7. Preparation of VAT return for review by tax accountant
8. Preparation of monthly finance reports
9. Additional tasks and responsibilities to be covered as required by FP&A
Key Skills & Experience required:
10. Relevant accounting qualification
11. Working in a large corporate environment with regional/ divisional structure
12. Advance Excel skills
13. Excellent communication skills
14. Keen attention to detail/ high degree of accuracy
15. Ability to work both alone and as part of a team
16. COINS systems experience desirable
