GSL education’s South Yorkshire branch is looking for a dedicated and caring individual to join as Behaviour Mentor in primary schools in Rotherham. This is a great opportunity for making a positive impact on young learners' lives.
Job summary:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will support students in managing their behavior and developing positive social skills. You will work directly with staff and teachers to provide an equitable, safe, and diverse learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students in managing their behavior and emotions.
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students as needed.
* Help to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Assist teachers with behavior management strategies.
* Support students in developing social skills and positive relationships.
* Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about student progress.
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent support for all students.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children is desirable.
* Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are preferred.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
* Ability to work well as part of a team.
* An updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
