Introduction
As a Binding Authority Account Handler in our Special Risks team, you will be responsible for preparation and issuance of multimillion-dollar Binding Authority Agreements, supporting the brokers and working directly with Underwriters and Coverholders to support their business throughout the year as well as binding and issuing Policy documentation to USA based agents which will provide a detailed insight into the various products and rating process.
Responsibilities
* Binding Authority Agreements (BAAs) and Endorsements:
* Drafting and checking.
* Sending third-party BAAs to the Coverholder for acceptance and validating to Underwriters.
* Registering on DCOM, Checking Global XB set up and ensuring it is signed by Xchanging, maintaining and ensuring ATLAS is up to date.
* Profit Commission Calculation.
* Ensuring documentation is in line with Lloyd’s requirements and internal procedures/guidelines.
* Individual insurance policies:
* Supporting brokers to bind.
* Ensuring client documentation is prepared accurately and dispatched in a timely fashion in compliance with internal service standards and within FCA requirements as applicable.
* Liaising with Brokers, Underwriters, Coverholders and Agents.
* Preparation of monthly Risk Level Data/Aggregates and Statistics, monitoring any significant changes and notifying the Broker where necessary.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with our Cheltenham based team, providing guidance as required and ensuring prompt processing and payment of premiums.
* Maintaining accurate and detailed records.
* Working with Coverholders to streamline their reporting and payment.
* Undertake any other responsibilities that may become necessary to fulfil this role.
Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications
* Working knowledge of the Lloyd’s and company markets
* Knowledge of the Xchanging process for Signing premium
* Microsoft Office Skills
* Excel skills such as pivot tables for monitoring Risk Level Data/Aggregates effectively
* Good spoken and written communication skills
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Confident and efficient in dealing with large datasets
* Team working ability
* Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
* Skilled MS Teams user
* Knowledge of USA property insurance
* Understanding of regulatory requirements in the territories concerned
* Working towards a Certificate in Insurance or higher
