Does the housing sector really interest you? We have an opportunity to join us as a full time Policy Officer. What you’ll be doing Your days will be interesting and varied. You’ll be using your research skills to obtain useful insight into how other organisations are adopting policies in respect of housing issues. You’ll then use this research to lead on the review and development of existing and new policies. You’ll collaborate with key colleagues to understand the needs of the business and you’ll work with customers in consultation on all customer facing policies. You will be required to deliver policy review from start to finish, creating well written reports, that are presented to senior leadership teams, governance colleagues and customer panels. About you You will already have experience of working in the housing sector, with an understanding of the housing regulatory environment, ideally with experience of colleague and customer consultation. You’ll have very good time management skills and being able to meet deadlines will give you great satisfaction. Together with your project management experience, all these skills combined will make you really effective in the role. You will be able to build great working relationships, influencing others when needed and sharing your knowledge in a way that meets the requirements of the audience. You’ll have experience of writing and presenting reports for Boards and Committees, which will utilise your excellent written and verbal communications skills. This role is a hybrid role, you can choose to work from home or the office, it’s entirely up to you. Currently members of the team meet in the Frome (Somerset) office on a weekly basis and although this won’t be a requirement of the role, you may need to attend an Aster office for training or to participate in a Panel.
