We are looking for a caring and compassionate individual to join our nursing team as a Band 3 HealthCare Assistant in the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Your role will be to support the registered nurses and other members of the multi-disciplinary team. If you are passionate about providing the highest standards of care to patients and if nothing but the best will do we want to hear from you.

We are one of the busiest University teaching Hospital Trusts in North West England. Our hospitals have often been at the forefront of medical breakthroughs during our long history at the heart of the city. We are a 28 bedded Ward a Post-Operative Enhanced Recovery Unit within our bed base. We also have an extensive multi -disciplinary team that will support you throughout your development.
Supporting Registered Nurses in their daily tasks and highlighting any issues or concerns
Perform patient observations
Assisting patients to wash and dress
Assisting patients with their nutritional and fluid intake
Maintaining good documentation
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment including adherence to strict Infection Control Policy
Provide support and assistance to new and junior members of staff
Many other extensive duties
Promotes effective communication within the multi-disciplinary team and takes measures to overcome communication difficulties.
Contributes to the management of aggressive and abusive behaviour.
General bed making/making up of clean beds in readiness for new admissions.
Assist in keeping the ward environment clean and tidy.
Disposing of dirty linen appropriately.
Safe disposal of clinical waste and sharps as per Trust policy.
Attend to the needs of visitors and patients particularly those who may be distressed or bereaved.
Care for patients property, including valuables, in accordance with Trust policy.

Under the supervision of a registered nurse assisting the Ward / Department team in providing the highest possible standard of care for patients and their families/carer.
The post holder will undertake a range of tasks and duties as delegated by a registered nurse.
