Design and deliver engaging, practical and theoretical lessons aligned with Key stage 3 and Key stage 4 Food Technology curriculum
Identify and support students at risk of underachieving and provide intervention strategies
Maintain a safe and organised learning environment, particularly in practical kitchen sessions
Teach and enforce health and safety standards, including food hygiene and safe use of kitchen equipment
Inspire a passion for cooking, nutrition and healthy eating habits among students
Participate in extracurricular activities such as food clubs, cooking competitions or school events
Maintain accurate records of students' progress, attendance and lesson evaluations
Manage and order materials, ingredients and equipment within the allocated budgetRequirements:
A qualified teacher with specialism in Food Technology or a related subject
Be passionate about inspiring young minds
Proven experience working with children and young people
An understanding of safeguarding policies and a proactive approach to ensuring the safety and welfare of children.
