This role is for a 22 month fixed term contract, based in Erskine, Scotland.
This role is funded for Armed Forces Veterans only and aimed at those seeking a future in Manufacturing/Production.
This position, as well as being key to our operational output, is a key element of achieving our mission. The team is overseen by the Operations Manager, who holds overall responsibility for performance and ensuring our customers' needs are met on time and at the highest quality.
Training will be conducted within the workplace but also within our training room under supervision and direction of our training manager and within the working day.
To be trained in, and carry out all appropriate processes in order to manufacture signs, printed products and other components to a high quality standard. This will involve the use of various machines including: Waterjet CNC; engravers; wide format printers; routers and a mix of hand-tools, all housed within a modern factory space.
During your time at SBMC you will work towards a NVQ Diploma in Performing Manufacturing Operations along with other associated SVQ/NVQs in line with your own skillset. You will also undertake placements to other employers during your time and our aim is to place you in the best possible position, should you wish, for a future career in the growing manufacturing sector in Scotland.
