At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.
Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.
Role:
The P2P Lead plays an important role as the primary point of contact for all Purchase to Pay (P2P) operational management and escalations. This role involves managing both the HME business and HME suppliers while also managing the performance and relationship within the Finance and Procurement Centre (FPC).
Main Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
* Serve as the escalation point for the business and the FPC, providing support for P2P resolution.
* Advocate the HME P2P vision and foster innovative working methods aligned with a functional operating structure, while considering local policies and reporting requirements.
* Act as a subject matter expert and primary contact for all P2P-related documentation, operational controls, processes, and systems.
* Identify and manage operational efficiencies, process improvements, and promote enhanced ways of working.
* Provide business-facing training and support for travel and expense/purchase order and invoice solutions.
* Take ownership for the review and management of regional P2P Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
* Lead and support the FPC P2P team, ensuring accurate and timely processing for Supplier on-boarding, Purchase Requisitions, Invoices, Credits, Travel & Expenses and query management.
* Review and approve alternative payment requests.
* Review and provide resolution support for P2P aged balance sheet items, including Goods Received not Invoiced (GRNI), and Vendor Open Items VOI).
* Work towards aligning P2P operations with the organisation's broader working capital goals.
* Review and sign off on monthly Supplier reconciliations and P2P related balance sheet reconciliations.
* Act as a reviewer and approver for regional P2P system access requests.
* Foster and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers.
* Work towards aligning P2P operations with the organisation's broader sustainability goals.
* Recognise and adapt to cultural differences when working with regional teams and suppliers.
* Stay informed about international / regional regulations and standards impacting P2P processes.
Change Management
* Plan and coordinate transition activities to support the business and enhance user experience and understanding of P2P operations.
* Provide insights and critical thinking across all P2P operational workflows, supporting a value-added approach to change.
* Proactively initiate change in alignment with the P2P vision and roadmap.
* Regularly communicate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to understand their evolving needs and expectations.
* Promote Standardisation, Simplification and Automation across all P2P operations.
Project Support
* Provide regional insights to support transformation projects.
* Act as a regional P2P subject matter expert.
* Champion Finance and P2P change.
Management FPC
* Attend weekly/monthly review meetings, providing support for operational escalations and queries.
* Take ownership of monthly/quarterly Customer Satisfaction Reviews for the FPC. Collaborate with the Business and FPC to understand areas for improvement and own/manage improvement strategies.
* Own and manage annual (or as required) reviews with the FPC to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and controls.
Policies and Controls
* Contribute to the review and update of P2P-owned policies, managing communication/publication regionally.
* Take ownership of regional alignment with the HME Authorization Limit Policy and SOX controls.
* Be familiar with regional tax laws that impact on P2P support the FPC with tax escalations and ensure regional changes are reflected with the P2P process.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
Required
* Fluent English & French (German also desirable).
* Proven track record working within a busy, fast paced Pan European Corporate environment and achieving targets and deadlines.
* Previous experience in Travel and Expense management is required.
* Previous management experience in Purchase to Pay environment is required.
* Experience using SAP and intermediate/advanced excel and PC skills required.
* Experience working with a corporate offshore shared service environment.
* Effective organiser with ability to prioritise workload.
* Proactive attitude with willingness to support others.
* Demonstrate ability to build effective working relationships.
* Attention to detail.
* Experience of staff management.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
Desirable
* COUPA and Concur experience is desirable.
