Hardware Engineering Manager Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Hardware Engineering Manager to lead the development of advanced hardware solutions for defence-related products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware system engineering, technical leadership experience, and expertise in digital electronic design and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex hardware projects on time and within budget.
* Develop and implement advanced studies dealing with new functions and emerging technologies.
* Manage IVVQ activities, including preparation, definition, specification, tooling, and performance.
* Decompose and interpret system requirements and algorithms.
* Design, verify, and integrate electronic hardware.
Requirements:
* Hardware System Engineering background is essential.
* Previous technical leadership experience of teams or projects.
* Understanding of Engineering Development lifecycles.
* Digital electronic design and implementation of complex designs.
* Electro-mechanical design including Power switching & control, Cabling and enclosure wiring.
* A working knowledge of Microprocessors, programmable devices, DSP, FPGA, memory.
Security Clearance:
SC clearance required/must be able to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance.
Location:
Crawley, UK (Hybrid)
Salary:
£80,000 - £100,000 per annum
