Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Emergency Nurse Practitioner to join our nurse led unscheduled Walk in Centre in South Pembrokeshire. Situated within the picturesque town of Tenby, the Walk in Centre provides treatment and advice for a range of minor injuries and minor illnesses to both local residents and people visiting on holiday. The service is open Monday to Friday including bank holidays. This post is 17 hours per week. The successful applicant will join a friendly, dynamic, and enthusiastic team providing autonomous assessment and management of patients presenting to the department. The successful candidate will have completed an accredited autonomous practice course in minor injuries Level 7, 30 credits master level or equivalent. Main duties of the job The Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) will assess individual patients, determining a differential diagnosis, initiating investigations, and initiating appropriate evidence-based treatment and discharge, transfer, or referral of patients in accordance with agreed clinical guidelines. Responsible for the delivery of safe and effective nursing care and work collaboratively to ensure the achievement of local and national key performance indicators. A positive attitude and instrumental in supporting the development of a team culture that improves quality and improved outcomes for patients by improving timeliness and consistency of care. Possess excellent communication skills and demonstrates Health Board values and promote those values in others. Works with the ENP Lead to ensure the development of robust education, training and practice developments to meet the needs of the service.
