If you are a vet considering a change of scenery with flexibility, and being part of a supportive team is important to you, then we have the perfect opportunity for you at Swansea Vets4Pets.
We are a close knit, supportive and hardworking team of 3 Vets, 4 experience nurses, 1 student nurse, 1 VCA, a reception manager and 3 receptionists. We have a practice ethos of the animals always coming first and there is no pressure to meet financial targets and our appointment times are 20 minutes. Lunch breaks are paid as we know emergencies occasionally happen.
Because it’s important to us to find the right person to work alongside us, we are happy to offer greater flexibility and a rota that can be planned around what works best for you. If you have childcare needs, caring responsibilities or are simply taking care of your own wellbeing and are looking for a level of flexibility that isn’t always available in our sector, then we’d still love to hear from you.
We are open to different working patterns if you are looking for flexibility, so whether you are looking for full or part time, please get in touch.
The ideal vet to join us will be personable, have good clinical skills, be experienced with consultations and routine procedures and have excellent communication skills. Communication is very important to us, being able to build a rapport with our clients is an essential skill as is the ability to support our colleagues. We work best by discussing cases, sharing opinions and expertise and supporting each other in practice.
And while the job in itself can offer an exceptional level of career satisfaction, it is possibly the location of this practice that is one of the main selling points. Swansea is a vibrant seaside town close to the beautiful Brecon Beacons – so whether you enjoy good night life or getting out into the countryside, Swansea is ideally placed.
There are excellent transport links with the M4 close by and just 45 minutes from Cardiff and with a relocation package available to the right candidate, there’s no barrier to taking up this great opportunity if you’re not currently based in the area!

Pets just see people. They aren’t biased and they don’t discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves so even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
