About the role
We are currently recruiting a Building Care and Maintenance Assistant to join our team, focusing on maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency of our housing estates. This role is pivotal in ensuring the well-being of our residents and upholding compliance with health and safety regulations. We are seeking a self-motivated individual who can work to high standards and deliver services tailored to resident needs, emphasizing best practice and value.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct intensified building safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulations.
2. Audit contractors regularly to uphold quality standards and project timelines.
3. Provide proactive support and advocacy for vulnerable residents.
4. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues to maintain a safe environment.
5. Implement environmental sustainability initiatives and maintain estate cleanliness.
6. Foster community engagement through regular events and feedback sessions.
7. Ensure regulatory compliance through training and adherence to standards.
8. Produce detailed reports on audits, inspections, and maintenance activities.
9. Optimize resource management to minimize waste and reduce costs.
10. Drive continuous improvement through quality assurance processes and resident feedback.

About You
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a thorough understanding of building safety inspections, contractor management, and resident support. You should have experience in emergency response and maintenance, as well as a strong commitment to environmental sustainability. Additionally, you should be able to manage a varied workload effectively, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate proficiency in IT and housing management applications.
