Role: Teaching Assistant Location: Plymouth Contract: Full time, permanent Working hours: 08:30 - 15:00 Mon - Thurs/ 08:30 - 15:30 Friday (term time only) Salary: £95 - £110 per day Long-Term Teachers have an excellent opportunity to work as a teaching assistant at a fantastic provision for students with additional needs. As a teaching assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils who have had difficulty thriving in mainstream school, special schools or are returning from out of county placements. Every child has a high level of support often including one to one support and bespoke timetables following thematic learning experiences. A wide range of personalised learning in and out of the classroom is designed to engage the student, build resilience, and provide the foundation for rapid academic progress. We are looking for three full-time teaching assistants to join the wonderful team in Plymouth. You will be working with students of secondary school age (11 - 16). These positions are to start as soon as possible To be successful as a teaching assistant, you will need: To hold a current DBS on the update service or willing to get one Be confident working within small groups and 1:1 Relevant experience working with children (or adults) with special educational needs A passion for working with children and young people in SEN settings Have a full UK driving licence and have your own vehicle Minimum of level 2 qualification or equivalent This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who has experience working within a SEN setting and has a passion to develop this further. This role would also be perfect for someone with a healthcare/support worker/sports coach background. You will be well supported with your professional development and overall wellbeing.
